Yep. The Stew fam is still sequestered in Spokane (actually, we're not really sequestered, but the sibilants sounded so swell). We are eating Amazon Flakes, browsing Amazon.com, and reading books about the Amazon. Sometimes we turn the heat up to 95, boil water, and let a troop of monkeys loose in the house; you know, just to keep our spirits up.
We heard from NICS on Monday, February 25, that a visa-approval letter from Brazil may arrive in San Francisco within the next two weeks. We are reservedly giddy. This has been a strange time of emotional ups and downs for our family, but we continue to relax in the hammock of God's care. We know he is the good shepherd, keeping us from things we can't comprehend, guiding us into scrumptuous fields, showing us unstressed waters. God has been teaching us to live each day in full reliance on him--a good lesson for any day of our lives.

Buying snow pants in February? What'd you do, sell your winter clothes last August? You were supposed to be in Brazil in September but did they say what year? I hope you are as entertaining after you're gone ;>)! (Can you get 30-year financing on that minivan? How many bedrooms in that thing?
