Over the past two days our family has been playing pincushion. 17 shots between the four of us in two days. George received the most: six shots in one sitting. He checked out a kid's book called Epidemics, and was telling his friends about all the creatures his shots are protecting him from. So other than a few sore spots, and several strained vocal chords, we are none the worse for wear after our vaccination celebration.
The latest visa news: We have been approved! Now our visas have to make the long journey back to the USA, then the consulate asks our visa service for our passports, then they do their thing, and eventually, our visas arrive in Spokane and we depart. A complicated process to say the least, but the approval news is exciting. In December, another NICS family received their visas from the San Fran consulate, and are now in Brazil, so we remain optimistic.
We enjoyed a sweet Christmastime with friends and family in Spokane and Tacoma, and are now trying to exercise some of the effects of that enjoyment away.

Yea! We've been following the saga. . . so glad to hear there is now light at the end of the tunnel. We'll be praying that God speedily moves those visas through the last stages of their journey.
