November in a Nutshell

November came and went, and here are a few pics of what happened:

We did a skit for our school and a visiting school. It was about Agape Love, coming straight from 1 Corinthians 13, and basically, demonstrated what love is not. Jill here, singing with her angelic voice, but without love--just a clanging cymbal!




November brought visitors!!! Mark and Brittany Ficek stopped in for the weekend! We had a wonderful time with them. Finn also had another seizure, but praise God, Mark was able to drive us in their rental car from the zoo to the hospital in no time. He also interpreted for us, as he grew up in Brazil. Brittany was a tremendous help with George in the waiting room. After many hours and tests, we still have don't know the cause (Finn has had two seizures since we moved here). Pray for continued wisdom for us as we seek answers.



We had the freshman and sophomores over for a taco night, to get to know them a little better. They are a great group of kids, hailing from five different countries...and there are only twelve of them!

Thanksgiving in the tropics! Turkey, dressing, potatoes, even cranberry sauce! Hardly felt like we were away! Jill did the decor and helped organize the event for over 60 missionaries. Stew was on table set up, and the boys were a valuable tool in turkey tasting. We have SO much to be thankful for, first and foremost our best friend and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gives us meaning for life!

We got away the day after Thanksgiving to a cold water creek. It was a nice to get away; feeling chilly after swimming is definitely a novelty in the tropics!
