A few different things we are required to do in order to have our baby in a hospital in Brazil:
- pay our hospital bill BEFORE she is born
- bring our own diapers, wipes, shampoo, powder, soap and even the hat for the baby
- bring my own medical file, as they don't keep any information
- find a place to have her immunizations done after she and I get out, as they do not administer them in the hospital.
- AND...have her in a hospital. It's actually illegal to have a baby at home. The hospital is only five miles away, but can take over an hour to get there in the traffic. Pray we make it in time!
Our next blog will be an introduction to the newest member of our family!

You always crack me up! ;) Wow, talk about a different process of having a baby in a hospital! Wonder why they make it illegal to have a baby at home? What happens if you have the baby in the car on the way to the hospital? ;) (Don't worry, of course we will be praying you get their quickly!) You look absolutely fantastic & can't wait to check back and see your baby girl! :) Praying for you...
Wow, Jill! I can't even imagine. You must be thankful you've done this birthing thing before...I can't imagine if it were your first time. We'll be praying! I can't wait to see pictures of your little lady!
You are lookin' great Jill! You heard right, btw - you are in for a wonderful change having a girl. Well, at least that's what I've experienced. It is so wonderful to have both boys and a girl!
It will be so nice when she finally arrives. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your sweet family.
